GEICO Caveman Super Bowl TV
How does GEICO recover from a sitcom based on their beloved caveman characters? Make a commercial about it. This spot directly addresses the tv show, about them-- with no disrespect to Joe Lawson, the writer at Martin who came up with the whole idea, and the tv show. We all know that he would have done the same thing. Don't kill me Joe. You can make a spot about my sitcom when I make one.
The National Theater Logo
This is a fun project for a new music venue in downtown Richmond, Virginia. The scope of this project was to create something that is cool, hip and anchored in the unique Vaudeville roots of the building. The doors will be reopening Feb 22 08 for the first time in... a long time, after a small $15MM renovation to the historic landmark. The logo shows the three muses for theatre on top of a heraldic seal for the new rock venue.
Little Richard GEICO TV
We met up with Little Richard in his hotel suite at the Beverly Wilshire to talk about his wardrobe and go over a few lines. Unreal. His clothes belong in a Hard Rock Cafe somewhere in Orlando, and he let me take them all back to my hotel room.
Burt Bacharach GEICO TV
Bob Meagher, Holly Flaisher, Steve Bassett and I put our mark on pop culture with this campaign. Chris Smith, the documentary filmmaker, made this simple idea come to life. It was a fantastic and bizzare experience working with all the celebrities one right after another. Burt Bacharach was our first spot of the sieries, and set the tone for the 11 spots to follow.
Sirius Sattelite Radio TV
I don't know if this spot even ran, but it was fun as a mofo to make. Kevin Dunleavy, Steve Humble, Danny Robinson and I shot it in Gas Town, Vancouver, BC. Justin Reardon director.
Subaru TV
Brandon Hampton and I shot this spot in beautiful Vancouver, on a mountain road on the way to Whistler. Chris Smith and Tony Miglini of Sugar Film Production directed/produced the spot, with a sweet voice over from Alec Baldwin.

Subaru Logo Redesign
When Subaru decided to enter the premium car category, they felt the logo used in all their advertising could be freshened up. Being a Jr. Art Director, I was supposed to help the CEO of Temerlin McClain make a PowerPoint presentation to the execs at Subaru North America. I scanned in a logo from one of the vehicles and used it in the some of the slides. During the presentation, the Subaru execs noticed the new treatment of their logo, and changed it right there on the spot. Thanks to hours of retouching and photography from Dallas' Scott Harben it still holds up today. Click on the image to see the transformation.
GEICO Buzz
This campaign took on a life of its own. It was picked up by Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Fox News, MSNBC, and SNL even did a skit. If you do a youtube search for GEICO celebs, you get tons of home-made commercials from pros, kids, and the occasional freakshow.

Friday Cheers Poster
Here's a 18x24" poster for the Richmond summer concert series Friday Cheers on Brown's Island. One side of the island are class III rapids on the James River, and the north bank borders on Richmond's historic 18th century canal. The design is taken from the modern-day canal locks that control the water flow from the James. Patent Pending of Seattle screen printed a 200-count limited edition run. Unfortunately they never went on sale, so contact me if you would like a copy for $20.
